Alban Pyanet is a Partner in the Finance & Risk practice in New York. He has nearly a decade of experience consulting to leading financial institutions in North America and in Western, Central, and Eastern Europe on stress testing, climate change risk, capital management, credit risk, and equity valuation.
Alban has most recently been leading the development of a methodology to assess climate risk and help banks implement the recommendations of the Financial Stability Board’s (FSB) Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). This engagement is a cooperation with the United Nations Environment Programme and a Working Group of 16 global banks.
Increasing climate risk awareness within the financial services industry will ultimately generate broad-based benefits for the economy and society as a whole.
Alban serves on the finance panel of “Senses – Climate Change Scenario Services.” The SENSES project investigates how climate scenario knowledge can be made accessible to a broader public.
Alban initially joined the Paris office of Oliver Wyman following his graduation from ESCP Europe and transferred to New York in 2013. He is fluent in French and English, and conversational in Russian.
