լи McLennan appoints David Liston US and Canada Chief Commercial Officer

NEW YORK, February 28, 2024 –(NYSE: MMC), the world's leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy, and people, announced today the appointment of David Liston as US and Canada Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective immediately. He will report to Pat Tomlinson, լи McLennan US and Canada CEO and President of Mercer, and Hans van Heukelum, լи McLennan global CCO.
In this role, Mr. Liston will collaborate with լи, Mercer, Guy Carpenter, and Oliver Wyman leaders to foster collaboration and innovation at the intersection of the businesses, maximize client impact, and enhance business growth in the US and Canada.
“David’s client-first attitude, extensive leadership experience, and collaboration mindset will bring immense value to our colleagues, clients, and business,” said Mr. Tomlinson.
Mr. Liston brings a wealth of experience to the role. He previously served as լи US and Canada Corporate Segment Leader, and recently had an expanded role across լи and Mercer, driving mid-market offerings for the region. His appointment follows the transition of Susan Potter to the role of President, Mercer US and Canada earlier this year.
Mr. Liston has held various client-facing and leadership roles during his 30-plus year career at լи. He previously served as the US Sales and Marketing Leader, and prior to that was responsible for the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut region. His extensive experience includes serving as the New York Office Head and the Seattle Office Head for լи. He spent a decade in Florida, specializing in production and client executive roles. He will continue to be based in New York.
